Compassionate Therapy in Santa Cruz

Therapy Is A Way To Grow

Would you like to transform your pain instead of managing it? We all have an innate capacity for healing, resilience and growth that can be catalyzed through compassionate therapy. The powerful integration of attachment theory, relational neuroscience, somatic and experiential approaches supports the emergence of capacities and insights that allow you to lead an authentic and expansive life. By paying close attention to your lived experience as it unfolds, we are able to unravel, understand and change limiting beliefs and coping strategies that underlie trauma, anxiety, depression and relationship challenges.

Ta-Nehisi Coates wrote “I am wounded. I am marked by old codes, which shielded me in one world and then chained me in the next. I am tied to old ways, which I learned in a hard house.” As an AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy) Level 3 therapist, I use a trauma-informed and growth-oriented approach to shift from protection to growth, from contraction to expression, from fear to freedom.

My style is collaborative, interactive, warm, and respectful. I aim to use my experience and guidance to support you as you access more of your core well-being and natural healing abilities. Self-compassion, insight, communication skills, stress reduction, and mindfulness are some of the skills that help you move from surviving to flourishing.
